Demanding, technically difficult route. On some stretches it is safest to push your bicycle.
In spite of this, it has great tourist attractions including the Olzama blacksmith workshop, St. Thomas’s Church, the Loiola district, the Tejera (tile factory) of Terlegiz, the Belendiz Tower House, Artzubi bridge, the Montolan Tower and the Painted Wood of Oma. The route passes two water fountains, one in Mintegi Goikoa and another in Urriene park.
Take care with dogs roaming free in Zabala and Elexalde Loiola.
There is a link (E3) connecting this route with the circuit through the Oma Valley.
The wood, which is well worth a visit, has to be seen on foot.
